Matthew Hodge is a Bristol based Artist having graduated from the Manchester Metropolitan University with a MA in Fine Art. After having worked across the creative industries and as an Artist, Matthew was drawn to education and trained in teaching at The University of Cambridge.
Matthew works across a variety of disciplines and media, focussing on painting and digital print techniques, creating work in series. Currently he is developing a new series of paintings that subvert and manipulate formal grid elements.
Matthew has exhibited widely across the UK and Europe including a solo exhibition at the Tobacco Factory, Bristol and a group show at Kuvataidaketem, Helsinki. In recent years, working within Art education, Matthew has promoted children’s Artwork having had groups exhibit in national and regional exhibitions and producing the Art work for a UN Sustainable Development conference.
